FAQs About Online Coupons Who issues these coupons /special offers, and why? Coupons and special offers are issued by the merchants periodically in order to attract new customers, or keep the existing ones coming back. It's a very competitive market, and they spend up to $50 to gain a new customer; offering either $$ off, free shipping or other coupons has proven to be very effective. How Do I Redeem them? Most coupons are redeemed by entering a coupon code on the merchant's 'coupon code' box during checkout, but some other coupons are automatically activated when you visit their site, via our special link. They usually will let you know that have a coupon in your basket/shopping cart. When we have a coupon code next to the coupons, just click on the link, and cut and paste the coupon (to avoid typing mistakes). In 90% of the cases, the code will have to be entered during checkout. Please note that some stores may use different name, such as 'coupon code','promo code', 'promotion code', 'gift certificate code', discount code' etc. I was told that this coupon is expired Unfortunately sometimes that happens for a few reasons: 1. Some coupons come to us no expiration date, and can expire any time, at the merchants discretion, or when they reach the maximum number of redemptions. If it spreads to fast all over the Internet that can happen anytime. 2. Same thing for Freebies. If they are giving a sample they either decide that the promotion reached it's goal or they simply underestimated the demand and they can't keep up with it so they discontinue them. For the ones we have an expiration date, we have it tracked on the background so when that date arrives it alerts us to see if the coupon is still available, and it's automatically moved to the "Expired" section. Sometimes the merchant decides to expire them earlier and there's not much we can do. About the Expired Coupons As soon as the coupons (that we have an expiration date for) expire, they are automatically moved to the expired section. In most cases--by far--these coupons will not work; however, sometimes they might be extended for a few days, or even months. Some merchants keep extending the same coupon over and over again. If they work it's great, but please do not expect them to still be valid, because as far we kow, they're expired. The date of the expiration also can make a difference: if the coupon expired yesterday, it's much more likely to still work than a coupon that expired two months ago. Products & Categories on the store's page These are somewhat randomly cut & pasted, and they are supposed to just give you a general idea about what products that store might have. Where do you get these coupons and special offers Specialoffers.com gets these coupons from arrangements with the merchants themselves, information available in public domain and sometimes through site visitors who have coupons codes and would like to share them with other people. Since Specialoffers.com is not selling any products to you, any returns, refunds or customer service issues should be directed directly to the merchants themselves, not Specialoffers.com. Can you guarantee these coupons and offers? Unfortunately we can't. Specialoffers.com is merely providing you with a venue to get these special offers, but many vendors, at one point or another, choose to discontinue them without any prior notice, we may make mistakes, or sometimes, we simply can't change them fast enough.
